The United States is will hit a milestone this month as it is estimated to have a population of 300,000,000. I believe officially we should hit that mark on or around October 16th.

100,000,000 was achieved between 1914 and 1915 and we reached 200,000,000 between 1967 and 1968.
The first US Census in 1790 showed the population to be about 3.5 million.
It took 124 years to acheive 100,000,000.
It took another 53 years to achieve 200,000,000.
And an additional 38 years to acheive 300,000,000
