A TRIBUTE TO THE SYMBOL OF ALL SKYSCRAPERS... W.T.C. (before and after 9/11) A couple of months ago, I decided to go through some of my many albums and scan a few of my favourite pictures of the unforgettable and irreplaceable WTC. A symbol of the greatness of NYC. The first part is from 200 and the beginning of 2001......... The second bit was taken about a month or so after the tragic events of 9/11. I hope you enjoy my compilation. 1- 2- 3- 4-View from the top. Can only imagine what went through the mind of those people in that day right at the top of the tower!! 5- View of Midtown and the Empire State Bldg. 6- 7-Broklyn Bridge 8- part of lower Manhattan 9- 10-skyline 11- 12- 13- 14- Lower Manhattan and WTC viewed from the Empire States. But was amazed with number of passers by ad turists around the ground zero area. 20- Same view of lower Manhattan from the top of the Empire States after 9/11(check pic 14) 21- 22-Was quite difficult to get good shots due to the high fence around "ground zero". 23- 24- 25- 26- 27- 28- zoom from the previous picture 29- 30- 31- 32- 33- Huge craters in the surrounding area shows the total destruction of the infrastructure. 34-Desifecting trucks. 35- 36- 37- 38- 39- 40- In front of one of the Fire Dept. > |
