East Coast evacuation plans for inevitable "Megatsunami"

What is the evacuation plan for major cities on the East Coast when Cumbre Vieja, a volcano in the Canary Islands erupts?

When it does, the entire western flank of La Palma will slide off the island and displace enough ocean water to create a megatsunami that will destroy much of the East Coast of North America. The megatsunami is expected to travel at speeds of up to 600 mph and will reach the United States in twelve hours, with waves higher than 300 feet, which will wash as far as twelve miles inland, obliterating everything in its path.

It is not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. Seismologists are closely watching Cumbre Vieja for signs of volcanic activity, but will only be able to give warning of imminent eruption in a time period from as much as 30 days to as little as twelve hours.

What do major East Coast cities have planned for such an event? Will it be possible for the entire length of the American East Coast to be evacuated on such short notice?>

Laughing at Ourselves: The USA Edition

I saw this in the Canada forum.

There are too many people here who get easily offended at the slightest negative remark about their reigon, state, city, etc. There are also too many people who like to bash other places in general. So, maybe this will help relieve us and our tension.

This is a thread where we can bash our own cities/regions/etc. in a joking manner.

My requests:
--Feel free to use stereotypyes of any kind, even if it is true
--Don't try to disprove someone's post with a fact. Once facts are pointed out, the fun is gone
--Don't bash any region/city/state/etc. other than your own. (ATL won't bash Charlotte, New England won't bash the South, etc.)
--Have a good time, this is a time to do a little self-satire of your home area

South Bronx vs. Compton

Which is more deadlier, South Bronx in NYC or Compton just south of L.A.??

Pfft...Compton IMO and you know it.>

What church(es) are big in your area?

Here in az, it is LDS. My friend in Alabama says there is not one LDS church in his entire county, so I wonder what churches reign in certain regions of america.>

Best US cities: Off the lists

Let's dump the rank order list of US cities (at least for one thread) and come up with a thread that allows all cities to reach for the stars!

What American cities (hopefully not part of the usual top-of-the-list crowd) are the best (be it fact or opinion) in whatever categories you wish to list.

i.e. New Orleans is the most festive US city; also the most distinctive personality

No city in the US can reinvent itself so quickly, completely, and successfully as Vegas.

Boston is the most civilized and cultured of US cities.>
