I saw this on skyscraperpage.com before making this and it gave me a good idea, what is the area that your city has the most influence under? Not only suburbs but other counties and states also.
Me, I live near Hartford, CT. My area is heavily influenced by Boston and New York but not as much as Connecticut cities. We have our own region here and even influence our smaller neighbor Springfield, MA.
Our Area isn't like the other Connecticut cities like Bridgeport, Stamford, New Haven, or Waterbury which actually are all part of the NYC metro area. We aren't also like Providence or Manchester, NH which are little sisters to Boston.
