Downtown Living Boom?

I've noticed many mid-sized cities starting to have strong downtown living trends. Condos and Apartments are being announced in many cities, like Charlotte's fabulous Epicenter. Omaha and Indianapolis are getting some pretty tall developments. Here in OKC, downtown units are expected to increase by 10,000 by 2015. (And I think it could even be more than that; there are already a lot of ongoing conversions and developments going on.) Also, many modern television shows that I have glanced at depict their main characters living in apartments with a skyline view, so I think that makes the idea of a high-rise unit even more popular. People like to live the active downtown lifestyle, and I think it's showing in smaller-sized cities.>
